Olivia’s love for cats got supercharged this year — it truly reached purrfection!
As many of you know, Altadena suffered a devastating fire in January. One small silver lining was having two little evacuated kitties (and their cat mom, Emma) stay with us that week. Olivia raced to see them after school every day, and Peanut and Praline were pawsitively gracious hosts!
In March, Olivia befriended a neighborhood stray, Checkers, by feeding him breakfast.
We also made frequent trips to Long Beach’s Cat Collective to visit their many foster cats. We even went to their Cat Art Show and made our own screen prints. It was a truly claw-some experience!
We wrapped up the year in full feline fashion: K-Pop Demon Hunters’ Derpy Cat, Pete the Cat, and the Cat in the Hat (with his trusty Thing 1 and Thing 2). A purrfect end to a very cat-filled year!
