Dog breaks into house. Steals owners’ hearts.

Twas the night of the 4th of July and all were out celebrating, except for one frightened little pup. As two unsuspecting homeowners drove into their garage that night, he stealthily stowed away inside to take refuge.

The next morning, homeowners, Shelby and Kristina, were surprised to discover a small creature sleeping inside. At first glance they thought it might be Trash Opossum, the infamous kingpin of garbage in the complex, but with a sigh of relief it was in fact a white Chihuahua with brown ears and a wagging tail. After two weeks of hunting for the pup’s owners, no one came to claim him so the family of two became a trio.

The 9-year old Chihuahua, Eddie, now lives inside the house (instead of the garage) with owners Kristina and Shelby, and is still slightly skiddish of fireworks. “Eddie is an absolute joy! He puts a smile on our face everyday. He’s won us over with his cuddly personality, cute floppy ears and lack of barking. We’re so glad he picked our garage!” says Kristina.
