We were one of those parents who freaked out when they saw white things on their baby’s gums. At 2.5 months old, we thought Olivia had started teething!! The symptoms were there: the massive amount of drooling, the ear pulling and cheek rubbing, the night wakings, the fussiness, and the hand gnawing. We took pictures of the white mysteries and sent them to Olivia’s doctor, who confirmed those were indeed teeth under her gums, but she was just “pre-teething.” Her teeth were getting “on deck”.

Little did we know, it would be another 2.5 months before they made their grand appearance. Olivia’s first two bottom incisors finally erupted on her 5 month birthday!

Those two pesky teeth took a few days to come out of hiding, but now they’re here and they can’t be missed when Olivia gives us a big smile.
