Peanut outbreak spreads across Long Beach

Since early January, there have been sightings all over Southern California of a new and rare type of peanut outbreak. This wide spread epidemic has taken the form of a cuddly, 5-year-old black and brown chiweenie (chihuahua + dachshund). Luckily, two local Long Beach residents have volunteered to contain the Nut indefinitely.

Despite warnings of the dog’s contagious cuteness, the couple have been spotted with Peanut in a variety of places: Ocean Trails, Uptown Dog Park, downtown Los Angeles, Chantry Flats, Paramount drive-in theater, to name a few. Sources confirmed that Peanut also frequents Covina to visit his partner in crime, Bailey.

Once he came out of his shell, Peanut has been the best little buddy. We’re nuts about him! Despite our daily 6am wake-up licks, we love all of our adventures with him. From playtime at home, to walks around the neighborhood and exploring new places, there’s no butter dog than Peanut.”

If you spot Peanut, proceed with caution. He’s been known to fall in love with anyone who gives him food or belly rubs. He was last seen chasing a squirrel at Somerset Park in Long Beach.

Peanut was adopted from Whiskers and Tails Foundation.
