Another year done, which means more memories to share around the table, more photos to look back on years from now and new experiences that have made us stronger and wiser. If we had to sum up this year in a word, it would be: change.

From adapting to life without Eddie, to nesting into a new home, to getting ready to start a new job, change is all around us. Without a doubt the biggest transition we made, was deciding to look for a new home. Fate brought us to the charming neighborhood of Bixby Knolls in Long Beach.

We’ve only been here a few months, but it feels like home already. The friendly and social neighborhood, all the birds and butterflies, the morning sunlight and the park nearby are just a few of our favorite things. Every day we fall more in love with our home as we add our personal touches to it and cross off things on our never ending list of projects.

Shifts in the workplace have also kept us on our toes this year with Shelby starting at Sidecar Health in January and Kristina at Sharp Electronics in November.

As our year of change comes to a close, we stop and remember how thankful we are and how blessed we have been. This has been an amazing year – with ups and downs for sure, but still an amazing ride. From our home to yours, we hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
